Two of the more than 50 blacksmiths who make Black Iron Days at Hartwick Pines Logging Museum the largest gathering of blacksmiths in Michigan, demonstrate their skilled craft.

Michigan's largest gathering of blacksmiths is here at Hartwick Pines. Other crafts people, including woodworkers and spinners, will be at work, too. The sawmill will be operating and you can enjoy the sounds of live traditional music.
Saturday at 1 p.m.: See a special exhibition of "vintage baseball" as the Hartwick Pines Swampers take on Midland County's Mighty River Hogs at the ball field in the park's picnic area. Discover baseball as it was played in 1860with no glove and rules different from those of the 21st century.
