Tawas Point Lighthouse is located in Tawas Point State Park, off U.S. 23, 2.5 miles southeast of East Tawas.
Admission
Admission to the lighthouse is $2 per person. Proceeds help fund the restoration of and exhibits for the lighthouse and lighthouse keeper's quarters. A Michigan State Parks motor-vehicle permit is required for entry to the park.
Season Dates and Hours
This site is closed for the 2007 season. 2008 season dates will be posted here in early spring.
The Museum Store at this location maintains a separate operating schedule. Call ahead for store hours.
How Much Time?
Please allow one hour to tour the lighthouse and the Museum Store. The park also offers camping, picnicking, hiking and other seasonal activities.
Accessibility
This site is not accessible to people who are unable to climb stairs.
