Juniors, earn the Yarn and Fabric Arts badge during a fun overnight program at the Michigan Historical Museum.
Campers will start off the night by learning how to create unique patterns with rubber bands while tie-dyeing a bandana. The girls will have a chance to weave on a loom and learn some cross-stitch techniques. On a tour through the museum, they will learn about different types of fabrics, how fabrics have changed over the decades and see fabrics from different cultures. Come join us for an up-and-down, over-and-under, fun-filled sleepover! Fulfills badge activities 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10.
Fee: $30 per child; $10 per chaperon.
Fees include a nighttime snack, breakfast, the Yarn and Fabric Arts badge, a Michigan Historical Museum patch and all craft
supplies.
