• About MCFB Grants

A goal of the Center for the Book is to bring literary activities to a broad range of people that might not otherwise have these experiences. One way we do this is to provide small grants for literary events in Michigan.

• 2009 MCFB Grant Procedures
The Michigan Center for the Book will partially fund events or projects in Michigan that enhance or complement our mission to promote an awareness of books, reading, literacy, authors and Michigan's rich literary heritage. The 2009 grant program is closed. Information on the 2010 program will be posted in late fall 2009.

• 2009 Literary Grant Recipients
The Michigan Center for the Book grant winners are decided! We have awarded 12 grants for a total of $4,150.00 for 2009. Congratulations to the recipient libraries. Part of the Center for the Book's mission is to encourage reading and literary events throughout the state. Our grant program is one way we do that.
