Article and Citation Sources
InfoTrac has four databases containing
citations and often full text of reference works and journal articles. The databases are General Reference
Gold; Health Reference Center Academic; the New York Times; and Kid's Edition.
Firstsearch is a collection of subject specific databases
ranging from medicine and law through the arts and social sciences. Many of them contain full text
articles.
MeL, the Michigan eLibrary, provides full-text journals and newspapers including Newsbank (Lansing State Journal, Detroit News, Grand Rapids Press) and the New York Times and thousands more as well as databases such as Academic OneFile, Medline, and InfoTrac OneFile which include publications as diverse as Time and Science.
Child Welfare Information Gateway, formerly Child Abuse and Neglect Clearinghouse
Database, is a database containing over 32,000 records on child abuse and neglect and child welfare
issues. It is searchable by keywords, authors' names, and publication year.
Directories
Associations Unlimited is a directory of national
and international associations and organizations.
Biographical
Biography and Genealogy Master Index
indexes current and retrospective biographical works that cover living and deceased individuals, with a
worldwide scope.
Government, Law and Policy
CQ Researcher is a weekly public
policy "hot topic" magazine. Each issue covers a single topic indepth. The subscription includes back issues and is
searchable.
Michiganlegislature.org searches and accesses Michigan
Compiled Laws, current bills, the Michigan Manual and more.
Library of Michigan Books
NetLibrary
is a collection of thousands of full text, electronic books.
ANSWER is the online catalog of
materials at the Library of Michigan and State Law Library.
