Michigan History for Kids Magazine Looks at Rock and Roll in Michigan

The music style called "rock and roll" began in the 1950s. Michiganians were there from its beginnings and contributed to its growth. The winter 2007-08 issue of Michigan History for Kids tells stories about Michigan's contributions to the music industry.
