American Academy of Physician Assistants

Workforce Issues Studied:

One of the responsibilities of the American Academy of Physician Assistants is to collect and analyze data to track the growth and changes in the physician assistant profession. The data are collected from various projects that are maintained throughout the year by the AAPA Division of Data Services and Statistics. The most important of these activities is AAPA's Annual Census Survey of PAs.

Research and Publications:

Aggregate results of the census survey are reported at the end of each year in the AAPA Physician Assistant Census Report, which can be accessed at www.aapa.org
