Granholm Visits Michigan Soldiers Stationed in Baghdad

November 25, 2005

BAGHDAD – Governor Jennifer M. Granholm today continued her mission to bring holiday cheer to hundreds of Michigan troops deployed in Iraq. The Governor’s visit to Baghdad follows a visit to Kuwait, where she served Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday to hundreds of Michigan troops from Detroit and the Upper Peninsula.

The trip offered Granholm an opportunity to personally express her appreciation and support for troops who are on the front lines in the war in Iraq.
