MPSC Approves Settlement Agreement Authorizing Michigan Gas Utilities Corporation to Implement Its 2009-2010 Gas Cost Recovery Factor

The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) today approved a settlement agreement authorizing Michigan Gas Utilities Corporation to implement its gas cost recovery (GCR) factor for the 12-month period ending March 31, 2010. 

The utility will implement a base GCR factor of $7.3231 per thousand cubic feet (Mcf).  The base GCR factor is subject to adjustment pursuant to a contingency matrix mechanism.

The utility, MPSC staff, the Attorney General and the Residential Ratepayer Consortium participated in the settlement agreement.

The MPSC is an agency within the Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth.
