February 12, 2010 - Nonprofit organization officers, directors and members are invited to register for one of the informative DELEG Corporation Division seminars in Lansing. Seminar topics include director and officer duties and responsibilities, indemnification, charitable solicitations, financing, tax issues, filing requirements and record keeping.
The seminars will be offered monthly from March through October at the DELEG Bureau of Commercial Services Corporation Division office in Okemos, located at 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos MI, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. The 2010 seminar dates are:
- March 31
- April 29
- May 26
- June 29
- July 29
- August 25
- September 30
- October 28
There is a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per person for attending the seminar. Class sizes are limited and interested parties are encouraged to submit their registration at least two weeks prior to the seminar.
Presenters for the seminars are from DELEG, the Consumer Protection and Charitable Trust Division of Michigan Office of Attorney General, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the Michigan Department of Treasury. Printed materials provided at the seminar include a resource notebook, DELEG brochures, and IRS booklets and forms.
