What are the Holiday Hours for alcohol sales and service?

Christmas Hours

Pursuant to an additional amendment to MCL 436.1113, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day alcohol sale hours have been changed.  The sale of alcoholic liquor is now prohibited only between the hours of 11:59 p.m. December 24th (Christmas Eve) and 12:00 Noon on December 25th (Christmas Day).  The MLCC is not required to issue a permit for these sales - it is now an allowed activity.

However, please be advised that you should contact your local governmental unit to determine if there are local prohibitions on alcohol sales for these legal holidays.

*New Year's Hours - Applies to on-premises licensees only.

Sales of alcoholic beverages for on-premises licensees may be extended until 4:00 A.M.

Consumption of alcoholic beverages must cease no later than 4:30 A.M.
