Northern Concrete Pipe to Receive State Award for Outstanding Safety & Health Record

DECEMBER 7, 2005 – Northern Concrete Pipe, Inc. will receive an award for an outstanding safety and health record from the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), on Friday, December 9, 2005, at noon, 5281 Lansing Rd., in Charlotte.

 

The MIOSHA Consultation Education and Training (CET) Division recognizes the safety and health achievements of Michigan employers and employees through CET Awards, which are based on excellent safety and health performance.  The CET Silver Award recognizes achievement of a range of 50,000 to 1,500,000 continuous hours worked (based on the employer’s size and type of business) without lost days.   The MIOSHA program is part of the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth (DLEG).

 

MIOSHA Director Doug Kalinowski will present the award to William Washabaugh Sr., President, and Tim Phillips, Director of Safety.  Invited guests and Northern Concrete’s 45 employees will attend the presentation and luncheon.  Since 1958, Northern Concrete Pipe, Inc. has been a leader in the precast concrete industry.
