December 12, 2006 - Cascade Engineering's Industrial Solutions-Container Group will receive the Rising Star
Award, for workplace safety and health excellence, from the Michigan
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), at a special ceremony
at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 15,
2006, 4950 37th St. SE, in Grand Rapids.
The Michigan
Voluntary Protection Programs (MVPP) Rising Star Award for outstanding
safety and health programs is granted by MIOSHA, and recognizes worksites that
provide exemplary safety and health protection for their workers. The MIOSHA program is part of the Michigan
Department of Labor & Economic Growth (DLEG).
DLEG Director Robert W. Swanson and MIOSHA Acting Director Martha B. Yoder will present the award to Jeff
Miles, Plant Manager; Sharon Darby, Human Resources Manager; and Noah
McGhee, Shift Supervisor. Refreshments
will be served to employees and guests following the ceremony.

Engineering is a leader in engineered plastic systems and components for the
solid waste, automotive and industrial markets. The Industrial Solutions-Container Group employs 88 workers and is a
plastic injection molding operations.
