Seminar on "Asbestos Awareness" Offered in Ann Arbor - January 14th

December 7, 2008 - Construction trades routinely renovate and demolish buildings that were built prior to 1981. These activities often result in contact with asbestos-containing materials. Asbestos awareness training is required annually for employees whose work activities may contact asbestos-containing materials (ACM) or presumed asbestos-containing materials (PACM).
The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) Consultation Education and Training (CET) Division offers seminars, courses and workshops statewide. These programs have a small fee and are open to general public attendance. The MIOSHA program is part of the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth (DLEG).
This seminar offers CEUs/Maintenance points and is part of the MIOSHA Training Institute (MTI) Level 1 certification program. For further information, please visit the MIOSHA website at www.michigan.gov/mioshatraining.
