A consumer reporting agency would be required to disclose to consumer all information in a consumer's file upon request. The first request by the consumer and up to one each year thereafter would be free. The consumer reporting agency would not be required to disclose any information concerning credit scores or other risk scores or predictors relating to the consumer. Violation of the act would be subject to actual damages or $1,000, whichever is greater, plus reasonable attorney fees and any remedy or penalty authorized under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
