Judge Stimpson was appointed to the Tax Tribunal in 1993.  Previously, he served as Tribunal Chairman, as Washtenaw County’s Treasurer, as a trustee for the Michigan Municipal Bond Authority, and as Washtenaw County Budget Director.  Judge Stimpson received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University.
