	Jun 15 / 06 - Aug 15 / 06	MCB Business Enterprise Program Summer Employment, June 15 through August 15, 2006 An eight-week food service and vending employment program for blind and visually impaired youth ages 15-21, working 20-40 hours per week and earning $6.50 per hour.
	Jun 26 / 06 - Aug 18 / 06	Detroit Youth Summer Program, June 26 through August 18, 2006 The Detroit Youth Summer Program is designed for blind and visually impaired youth ages 14-21. The program provides youth with vocational skills, personal adjustment skills, work experience, and a one-week computer camp.
	Aug 10 / 06 - Aug 13 / 06	Self Help for Independency in Michigan Equalizing the DeafBlind (SHI-M=DB) 10th Annual Weekend Retreat in Brooklyn, Michigan, August 10-13, 2006 Self Help for Independency in Michigan Equalizing the DeafBlind (SHI-M=DB) is focused on improving the lives and well being of DeafBlind individuals through educating the public and supporting individuals to realize their potential.
	Aug 15 / 06	MCB Cultural Diversity Committee Meeting, August 15, 2006, in Lansing (This meeting was rescheduled from July to August.) This committee works to identify groups in the state of Michigan that are underrepresented in Michigan Commission for the Blind programs and to find ways to encourage greater awareness of and participation in MCB programs. All MCB staff, partners, and stakeholders are welcome to participate.
	Aug 21 / 06	Live Audio Streaming and Interactive E-mail: MCB Commission Meeting in Escanaba August 21, 2006 The Michigan Commission for the Blind (MCB) will hold its bimonthly commission meeting in Escanaba. Hear the live audio at this link.
	Aug 27 / 06 - Sep 01 / 06	Mini Adjustment Program, August 27 - September 1, 2006, in Lansing This weeklong event will provide MCB clients with training in a variety of skills of blindness, e.g., cane travel, Braille, adaptive kitchen skills, dealing with time and money, and adaptive computer technology.
