MAER Annual Conference in Livonia April 21-22, 2005

The annual Michigan Association for Education and Rehabilitation for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MAER) Spring Conference is scheduled to take place on April 21-22 at the Livonia Marriott at Laurel Park Place in Livonia. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday and concludes at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. A continental breakfast and buffet luncheon are provided each day as part of the registration fee. Topics include transition planning for DeafBlind students, low vision and guide dogs, access to public transportation and much more. The keynote speaker will be Karen Wolffe, who will talk about the "five critical areas for the successful integration of people with visual impairments into the community."
