A resident agent and registered office must be included in the Certificate of Limited Partnership. A resident agent is someone who is appointed by the limited partnership to receive any documents, notices, or demands served upon the partnership. The resident agent must be an individual resident of this state, a Michigan corporation, or a foreign corporation with a certificate of authority to transact business in Michigan.
