The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has prepared a compilation of services that may apply to Michigan's Veterans, active military and military families. These services include occupational or business licensing, construction, workplace safety and health, unemployment, and utility assistance.
Occupational or Business Licensing
- The Corporations, Securities & Commercial Licensing Bureau (CSCL) performs the public facing duties of helping to grow business activity in Michigan through the Corporations Division, and by protecting the health, welfare, and safety of Michigan citizens through regulatory and licensing functions of the Securities, Licensing, and Enforcement divisions. Construction Code Professionals
The Bureau of Construction Codes (BCC) is responsible for the administration of the Construction Code Act, the Building Officials Registration Act, electrical, mechanical and plumbing licensing laws, as well as the boiler, elevator, and manufactured housing programs. Workplace Safety and Health

Unemployment
The Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) helps jobless workers and their families by providing a temporary income while the workers are unemployed and seeking new employment. For more information, visit the UIA website at http://www.michigan.gov/uia
