Contract Revisions

If, during the course of licensure, the adjuster for the insured modifies or revises the contract, the new version must be submitted for written approval to the State of Michigan before the new contract may be used legally. If the adjuster switches adjusting firms, the adjuster needs to make sure that the new firm has an approved State of Michigan contract. If the adjuster decides to work independently, the adjuster needs to create a contract and submit it for approval before the contract can be used legally.
