Renewal and Cancellation

Annually in February, the following resident and non-resident licensees will be mailed a license renewal invoice to the mailing address in our database:

  • Adjusters - $5.00
  • Counselors - $10.00
  • Solicitor sponsors - $10.00
  • Surplus Lines - $100.00

The license renewal payment must be received and posted to each licensee’s renewal invoice no later than March 31.  Follow the specific payment instructions on the renewal invoice. Timely payment of the renewal invoice does NOT generate a new license document.

Renewal invoices returned to our office due to an incorrect USPS mailing address will be automatically inactivated.  A compliance fine may be issued upon reinstatement.

Receipt and deposit of any late renewal payment received after March 31 will not reinstate an inactivated license nor will a refund be issued.  All license fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Notification of a canceled license is mailed upon inactivation.  A license status may be viewed on our Insurance Licensee Locator .

Prior to conducting new business, an application and appropriate fee is required.  Conducting new business under a cancelled license is unlicensed activity and may result in an enforcement action.

Reinstatement of the above resident licenses may occur upon submission of a new application and appropriate fee within 12 months of the license inactivation date.  After 12 months, the original statutory license requirements apply.
