Notice: ICHAT Required for Salesperson & Vendor Representative License Applications
This is to notify you of a change in the application process for Salesperson and Vendor Representative licensing requests. Pursuant to administrative rule R 436.1105(2)(g), the Commission shall consider the past conviction history of an applicant. Pursuant to administrative rule R 436.1103(2) an applicant for a license shall provide the Commission with all information necessary for investigation and processing of the application.
Effective May 16, 2016, applicants for Salesperson or Vendor Representative Licenses issued by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission will be required to provide an Internet Criminal History Access Tool (ICHAT) report with their application. An ICHAT report allows the search of public criminal history record information maintained by the Michigan State Police. Applicants that reside in another state will be required to submit a criminal history report from their state of residence.
The Michigan Liquor Control Commission will not consider Salesperson or Vendor Representative Applications as completed applications unless an ICHAT report, or a similar report from another state for non-Michigan residents, is provided by the applicant with their application. The ICHAT report date must be no more than three months prior to the date of application.
