Nominate your commercial, industrial or multi-family building by March 31 to compete in Michigan’s Battle of the Buildings award program
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Agency for Energy (MAE) today noted the approaching March 31 deadline to enter the 2017 Battle of the Buildings competition. The recognition program highlights energy waste reduction practices in commercial, industrial and multi-family buildings across the state.
“Michigan companies are successfully reducing their energy costs while maintaining occupant comfort and increasing productivity,” said Valerie Brader, MAE executive director. “The Battle of the Buildings awards program celebrates energy savings and instills a friendly competition among Michigan’s building owners and operators. The Michigan Agency for Energy encourages owners of buildings large and small to register their building today.”
The annual Energy Summit, hosted by the West Michigan Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, will celebrate the 2016 winners on April 19 in Grand Rapids. This full-day event will feature how a variety of Michigan companies are successfully reducing their energy costs. Brader will be a featured speaker at the event.
