December 2, 2011 − The Michigan Commission for the Blind (MCB) will hold its quarterly board meeting in Lansing on Thursday and Friday, December 8-9, in Lansing at the Victor Building, 201 N. Washington Square at Ottawa, 3rd floor, Conference Room A/B. The meeting will be in session Thursday 1:00-4:00 p.m. and Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. The meeting is open to the public and will be of interest to MCB consumers, rehabilitation professionals, and others interested in the agency's programs, services, and related topics.
On Friday morning, former MCB Commission Board Chair Jo Ann Pilarski will be honored for her 10 years of service on behalf of Michigan citizens who are blind and visually impaired. Other highlights of the meeting will include topics related to the MCB Business Enterprise Program on Thursday afternoon and regular reports from MCB staff on Friday, as well as opportunities for public comment on both days.

Public Comment is limited to four minutes per individual.
The meeting site is accessible. Individuals attending the meeting are requested to refrain from using heavily scented personal care products in order to enhance accessibility for everyone. The commission's five-member policy board, appointed by the governor, oversees MCB programs throughout Michigan.
