The Michigan Corporations, Securities, & Commercial Licensing Bureau, Corporation Division offers a seminar for new nonprofit officers, directors and members. Seminars are offered monthly from March thru October at our Okemos office at 2501 Woodlake Circle, Okemos, MI from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. There is a non-refundable fee of $50.00 per person for attending the seminar.2013 Seminar Dates: April 25 , May 30, September 26 , November 21
The seminar covers a wide variety of topics including director and officers duties and responsibilities, indemnification, charitable solicitations, financing, tax issues, filing requirements and record keeping.
Class size is limited so please submit your registration request at least 2 weeks prior to the seminar. You will receive confirmation of your registration by email or phone call from the agency. Please make check payable to the State of Michigan and mail along with a copy of this registration form to: LARA, Corporation Division, P.O. Box 30054, Lansing MI 48909, within 5 days of submitting this request. If you do not receive an email or phone call within 6 - 8 business days, contact Kelly Bean at (517) 241-6404. The meeting site and parking are accessible.
