The Wage & Hour Division administers and enforces wage protection laws in Michigan (the Payment of Wages and Fringe Benefits Act, the Minimum Wage Act, and the Prevailing Wages on State Projects Act).

The division investigates complaints alleging non-payment of wages and fringe benefits, state minimum wage, overtime, equal pay, and prevailing wage disputes.  The Wage & Hour Division also educates employers and employees in the areas covered by these labor standards.
