Renewal Information

Renewal information will be sent three months before the expiration date of your registration/license. Do not submit an online renewal application until after you receive the renewal information in the mail. If you submit it prior to receiving the renewal information in the mail, your application will not be entered into the licensing database properly and will have to be resubmitted.

If you wish to renew your registration/license go to the online renewal application. If you did not submit a previous application online you will need to sign up for a MiLogin account.

Complete the online renewal application as soon as possible, but no later than 45 days prior to the expiration date of your registration/license. Failure to return the application and renewal fee prior to the expiration of your registration/license will result in the closure of your registration/license. The fee is non-refundable.

Note: Internet Explorer is required to complete the online renewal application. In addition, you must have a credit card or a debit card to pay the fee online. (Discover or American Express Cards are not accepted.) If you don't have one of these, click here for centers and here for homes.

For all renewal applications, you are required to submit additional information as part of your renewal application. Forms not included in the online application packet are available on the licensing website at www.michigan.gov/michildcare-forms.
