Michigan Center for the Book - Grants

  • About MCFB Grants

A goal of the Center for the Book is to bring literary activities to a broad range of people that might not otherwise have these experiences. One way we do this is to provide small grants for literary events in Michigan.

  • 2017 MCFB Grant Procedures

The Michigan Center for the Book will partially fund events or projects in Michigan that enhance or complement our mission to promote an awareness of books, reading, literacy, authors and Michigan's rich literary heritage.

The Michigan Center for the Book is accepting grant applications February 1 through March 1, 2017, for the year. Awards will be announced in April. Please take a look under the "2017 MCFB Grant Procedures" button above for the grant criteria and application. Some past grants are also listed in the grants section for those looking to see what has been funded before. The grant program is intended to assist libraries, nonprofits or schools to have free, public events that enhance or complement our mission to promote an awareness of books, reading, literacy, authors and Michigan's rich literary heritage. Grant funds are generously provided by the Center for the Book affiliate members.

If you have any questions about the grants or the process, please email Janice Murphy, Michigan Center for the Book Coordinator. Please include MCFB Grant in the subject line. Or phone Janice at 517-373-1302.
