School Libraries in the 21st Century

School Libraries in the 21st Century

We have five newly certified School Library 21st Century library programs! We now have over 140 certified schools. Congratulations to the schools and libraries listed below for their achievement. Next year look for a revision of the measures to reflect changes in national standards and to keep the program up to date and worthwhile for participating libraries.

The Library of Michigan School Libraries 21st Century benchmarks program is intended to recognize quality school library programs at the building level. For more information on the program and the current measures, go to www.michigan.gov/sl21. We hope the program will help school library media specialists document the quality work that happens in their libraries.
