LANSING, March 3, 2008 - A very lucky anonymous Lottery Club claimed the largest Classic Lotto 47 jackpot in the history of the game - a whopping $23,597,120!

The fortunate Club matched all six numbers in the March 1 drawing. The winning numbers were 04 09 25 27 30 and 42. This is the first win since July of last year when an anonymous couple claimed a $12,624,787 prize.

The easy-pick winning ticket was purchased at Little Mack Beer & Wine, 28480 Little Mack Ave., in St. Clair Shores.

Classic Lotto 47 drawings are conducted at 7:29 pm every Wednesday and Saturday night. Jackpots start at $1 million and grow by at least $100,000 each drawing.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
