LANSING, March 13, 2008 - There's still time to
get your Super Raffle tickets and get in on the best odds ever to win $2
million!
Over 4,500 lucky Michigan Lottery players will
walk away with cash after the Super Raffle drawing scheduled for March 31!
Two prizes of $2 million, 25 prizes of $100,000
and 4,500 prizes of $500 will be awarded in the drawing originally scheduled for
March 17.
Winning numbers will be available on the
Lottery's Web site on the afternoon of the drawing. Players will also be able to
check numbers at Lottery retailers or Lottery regional offices at that time, and
the winning numbers for the $2 million prizes will be announced during the
Lottery's broadcast that evening at 7:29 p.m. on the night of the drawing.
The Super Raffle, which is Raffle no. 7 offered
by the Lottery, offers odds of 1 in 125,000 of winning $2 million. Tickets are
$50 each and can be purchased at any Lottery retailer, including Club Keno
retailers.
Super Raffle tickets are issued in numerical
order, starting with 000001. Sales will cease at 2 a.m. on March 31 and the
drawing will occur with only those ticket numbers up to that point. Players
cannot choose their own numbers and winning numbers must be in the exact order
drawn.
Players with winning tickets of either $2 million or $100,000 will need to
contact the Lottery at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim their
prize. Prizes of $500 can be claimed at any Lottery retailer location.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
