LANSING, August 27, 2002 – Dana Dygert of Hubbardston recently experienced a little Lottery luck when he scratched off a Michigan Lottery "Doubling Red 7’s" instant ticket to reveal a $27,000 top prize!

"I was at the store when I scratched the ticket off," Dygert said.  "I was so excited when I saw that I had won the top prize that I started dancing around the store!"

The 44-year-old winner, who works at Meridian Automotive in Ionia, purchased the winning "Doubling Red 7’s" ticket at Hubbardston Market, 131 N. Washington St., in Hubbardston.

Prior to turning the winning ticket in at the Lottery’s regional office in Lansing, the winner said he kept it in a dresser drawer to ensure its safety. The lucky man, who enjoys working art projects in his free time, said he plans to use part of his winnings to pay bills and he will invest the remainder.

"Doubling Red 7’s" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
