LANSING, August 7, 2003 Donald Blackmer of Almont recently reeled in big bucks upon scratching
off a Michigan Lottery “Tic Tac Two” instant ticket to reveal a $22,000 top prize!
The lucky retiree, who is an avid hunter and fisherman, purchased the winning ticket at Speedway #8401, 117 N.
Main St., in Almont.
Blackmer, who has been playing instant Lottery games for the past 10 years, said he kept the winning ticket
locked in a room in his home to ensure its safety prior to turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights.
The 69-year old winner said he and his wife, Elaine, plan to use part of the winnings to pay bills, but have not
yet decided what to do with the remainder.
“Tic Tac Two” is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers
statewide.
Since it was created in 1972, the Michigan Lottery has returned more than $11 billion to the state School Aid
Fund, which supports K-12 public education in the state of Michigan.
