LANSING, March 10, 2005 – Sherri Ellward never expected to win the Michigan Lottery when she purchased the
Super Cash Instant Lottery ticket. Ellward, who was visiting Michigan on a business trip, left the state $300,000 richer!
Ellward, who is a regular Lottery player in her home state of Missouri, said she was in total disbelief.
The 38-year-old winner is employed by the Brown Corp.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pilot Travel Center #23, 7205 S. State Rd.,
in Ionia.
Super Cash is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.
In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
