LANSING, January 17, 2006 – Michael Dean of Capac has been playing the same six Lottery numbers for 11 years.  On Nov. 10, those numbers matched the Fantasy 5 numbers and he won $181,871!

Dean said he can’t remember why he started playing the set of numbers.  He and his wife plan to use the prize money to landscape their home and start college funds for their four children.

The lucky winner hid his ticket “safely” for two months before cashing in the big winner.  The ticket was purchased at Ureel’s Party Store, 68970 North Ave. in Ray.

Fantasy 5 is the Michigan Lottery’s game which replaced Michigan Roll Down.  Drawings for the game are held seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
