LANSING, April 21, 2005 – Mania ensued after Freddy Adkins won
$10,000 in the Michigan Lottery’s Bingo Mania Instant game.
The lucky 52-year-old maintenance worker from Eaton Rapids scratched the ticket off and checked it numerous times before believing it was really a winner. The married man plans to pay off his house and credit cards with his prize money. Several years ago, Adkins won a $22,000 Lottery prize.
The lucky winning ticket was sold at M-50 Party Store Inc., 4050 E. Clinton
Trail, in Charlotte.
Bingo Mania is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than
10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
