LANSING, May 16, 2005 – A very lucky Grand Rapids woman is $22,817
richer after cashing in a winning WinFall ticket for the May 14 drawing.
If the jackpot reaches $5 million and no one matches all six numbers to win the jackpot, the $5 million in the jackpot then rolls down to the match five, four and three winners, increasing those prize levels by up to 10 times the normal amount.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said she plans to use the prize money to pay bills. She had her granddaughter check the ticket to ensure it was a winner.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Mother Hubbards Party Store, 3151 Breton Rd. SE, in
Kentwood.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
