LANSING, November 2, 2005 – A very lucky Muskegon woman can now call herself a millionaire! The 61-year-old won
$1 million in the Michigan Lottery’s Blackjack Multiplier Instant game.
The magnitude of becoming an Instant millionaire hadn’t hit the lucky woman – even when Lottery officials handed her the check! The winner’s husband hid the ticket in his pocket before they cashed it in at Lottery Central in Lansing. The couple plan to help their family out with some of the prize money. They also plan to take a trip to Las Vegas.
The lucky winner, who opted to remain anonymous, purchased the winning ticket at
Jack’s Corner Store #3, 2381 E. Apple Ave., in Muskegon.
Blackjack Multiplier is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 10,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
