LANSING, November 9, 2005 – A very happy man from
Rockwood claimed a $10,000 prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Club Keno game. Alan Proudlock matched eight numbers in the 10-spot game to win the prize. The normal payout for matching eight numbers in the 10-spot game is $500, but Proudlock bet $20 a draw, multiplying his winnings by 20.
The lucky maintenance worker for Gibraltar Schools is a regular Club Keno player who always plays the same numbers. He plans to use the prize money to pay for college tuition. He enjoys watching sports in his free time.
Proudlock purchased the winning ticket at Big Al’s Sport Bar, 27845 Fort St., in
Gibraltar.
Club Keno is a fun, fast, continuous action game with drawings every five minutes. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more the numbers matched, the more the player wins. Club Keno drawings take place seven days a week, every five minutes, from 6:05 a.m. to 1:45 a.m.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
