LANSING, November 9, 2005 – Gary Kughn of Grand Blanc won a
$10,000 prize in the Mega Millions game. The lucky winner matched four numbers and the Mega ball to win the prize.
The Mega Millions prize structure changed beginning with the June 24 drawing when California became part of the Mega Millions game. The previous prize for matching four white balls and the Mega ball was $5,000.
Kughn discovered he won after looking the numbers up on the Lottery’s Web site. The lucky ticket was kept in his wallet before redeeming it at a Lottery regional office. The 38-year-old has no immediate plans for the prize money.
The lucky easy pick ticket was purchased at Georgie’s Corner, 8020 Fenton
Rd., in Grand Blanc.
