LANSING, November 10, 2005 – Amy Holman is a very lucky person! She racked up a
$10,000 prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Club Keno game. Holman matched all eight numbers in the 8-spot game to win the money.
The 41-year-old Brown City cook was “extremely excited” as she watched all eight of her numbers show up on the monitor. Holman plans to use the prize money to pay off debts and shop for Christmas. In her free time, the lucky winner enjoys being outdoors and camping.
She purchased the winning own pick ticket at
Harrington Inn, 4164 Main St., in Brown City.
Club Keno is a fun, fast, continuous action game with drawings every five minutes. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more the numbers matched, the more the player wins. Club Keno drawings take place seven days a week, every five minutes, from 6:05 a.m. to 1:45 a.m.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
