Ticket sold in Detroit has been claimed

LANSING, August 14, 2008 - The Aug. 8 Fantasy 5 jackpot worth $105,000 has been claimed. An anonymous woman matched all five numbers in the drawing and won the prize.

The lucky winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Lahser & 8 Party Store, 20528 Lahser Rd., in Detroit.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
