Lottery announces next $2 million drawing

LANSING, October 13, 2008 - Five lucky finalists who will participate in a drawing for $2 million will be selected by the Michigan Lottery on Friday, November 21.

The finalists will be chosen from those players who win $1,000 on one of the Lottery's $20 Instant tickets: "$2,000,000 Explosion", "$35,000,000 Riches", "Double Red Millions", Casino Fortune, and "Multi Millions". Claims of $1,000 prizes made before the close of business on Wednesday, November 19 will qualify for the drawing. In order to claim a $1,000 prize, winners must redeem their ticket at a Lottery regional office or licensed bank claim center.

Finalists drawn will be notified by phone on November 21 and also by US mail.

The grand prize drawing will be conducted at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Friday, December 5, during halftime of the Detroit Pistons vs. Philadelphia 76ers basketball game.

Persons who have winning tickets for the ""$2,000,000 Explosion", "$35,000,000 Riches", "Double Red Millions", Casino Fortune, and "Multi Millions" Instant games and need to find a Lottery regional office or licensed bank claim center can visit the Lottery's website at www.michigan.gov/lottery or contact the Lottery's Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237.

Players who redeem $1,000 prizes after November 19 will be eligible for the next $2 million drawing, which will be conducted in March 2009.
