LANSING, January 4, 2011 - Michigan Lottery players will now have the opportunity to play Bejeweled®, the interactive puzzle game and one of the top 10 video game franchises in history* that can be played on the Internet, iPhone and other electronic devices.

The Lottery's version of Bejeweled launched on January 4, 2012. The $2 ticket will offer many chances to win, with top prizes of $30,000 and second chance prizes of a PopCap® downloadable PC or Mac game, instant ticket coupon valued up to $20, or Player's Club Reward Points (up to 25 points).

Players will find out instantly if they have won one of these prizes by logging onto PlayMIL.com and entering the 10 digit bonus code found on non-winning Bejeweled instant tickets.

While on the PlayMIL.com Web site players can compete against other Lottery players and play the original Bejeweled for free!

In addition, players will be able to enter the Michigan Lottery Facebook "Like Us Sweepstakes."  Participants who choose to "like" the Michigan Lottery Facebook page between January 3 and May 4, 2012 will be entered into a drawing to win a PopCap Complete Pack consisting of 48 games to download. If you already "Like Us," you can still earn an entry into the "Like Us" Sweepstakes by manually submitting an entry at PlayMIL.com.

One drawing will be conducted on May 9, 2012 and five (5) winners will receive a PopCap 48-game Complete Pack with categories that include arcade, card, strategy, hidden object and word games.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $16 billion to education in Michigan.
