Washtenaw Community College (WCC) in Ann Arbor, MI announces a new Entrepeneurship Education Initiative. The initiative couples technical skills with business knowledge to help students to become business owners. This new program is the result of a grant for nearly $100,000 awarded to WCC from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth (MDLEG). Automotive technical skills, culinary arts, and retail are examples of the skills that will be coupled with the business courses. Students will be able to get credit in high school for taking a technical skills class and an entrepeneurship class. If they attend WCC, they will be able to qualify for college credit. For more information on the Entrepeneurship Education Initiative contact WCC at 734-677-5164.
