INSTRUCTIONS:
Before vacancy information can be published on the Web site, MCOLES will require the following information:
(*Mandatory Information)
Contact information about the position*
(name, address, phone number, and e-mail address);
Opening date of the announcement*
(the date your department will start accepting applications);
Closing date of the announcement *
(the date which your department will not accept applications);
Job Title / Experience level of the position *
(entry-level, experienced officer, to police chief, etc.);
Your department web site address
(if you would like to include it as a link for further information); and
A short description about the position. *
Several methods may be used to notify MCOLES about a vacancy:
E-mail the job posting to MCOLES in a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format, composed exactly as the information should appear, and we will add that document as a link to our Web site. To e-mail a Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF version of your job announcement, click on the following E-Mail icon and attach the documents to your e-mail.

Fill out the "Law Enforcement Vacancy Announcement Form" below and compose the information exactly as the announcement should appear.
Fill out the "Law Enforcement Vacancy Announcement Form" below and instead of a short description of the position, indicate that you want MCOLES to provide a link to your web site information, and we will add that link to our Web site.
Using one of the above formats will assure that the information is accurately represented and will also minimize the amount of time required to post a vacancy on the Internet. Accordingly, phone calls and faxed job openings will not be accepted. Vacancies will be posted within two to three (2-3) business days from receipt. Vacancy information will be removed from the MCOLES Web page after the specified closing date.
