The Power of We Consortium AmeriCorps Project will enroll seven full-time, six half-time, and nine quarter-time summer members for service in up to 15 different host sites to focus on two key project goals: 1) creating, expanding, and/or maintaining trails, greenways, parks, and non-motorized transportation options; or 2) creating, expanding, and/or maintaining community gardens, sustainable food systems, and access to healthy foods. Members will provide direct service to their host sites, and the community, in three focus areas: 1) recruitment and mobilization of community volunteers; 2) community education; and 3) training, supporting and modeling direct service work for community volunteers.
