Camp Fire USA's AmeriCorps Program engages four full- and 14 half-time members to serve Kent County youth. Members will provide educational services and mentor 2,500 low-income youth at nine after-school and summer program sites; lead Self-Reliance presentations and activities to 600 youth; and lead youth in 11 organization-wide service-learning projects. As a result of these activities, 80% of after-school and summer youth will indicate they have acquired critical developmental assets as defined by The Search Institute of Minneapolis. Members will engage 200 non-AmeriCorps volunteers who will deliver 3,000 hours of service to Camp Fire youth. County Served: Kent
