How to Obtain a Pesticide Applicator Certification/Registration Application

Commercial, Private and Registered Applicator Applications may be obtained by one of the following:

YOU MUST TAKE THE APPLICATION AND FEE TO THE EXAM SITE.

Registered applicators must pass the registered core exam and complete a Michigan Department of Agriculture approved training program coordinated by a MDA Approved Trainer.  The training program must be verifiable and category-specific.

The applicant may complete the training requirement before or after taking the exam.  After the applicant has completed training, the approved trainer must complete the "Registered Applicator Verifiable Training Form" (click on name to obtain form) and either have the applicant turn it in with his or her application at the MDA exam site or mail it to the Michigan Department of Agriculture, P.O. Box 30017, Lansing, Michigan  48909.

To see a list of exam locations and schedules, visit our exam schedule page.

Business licensing applications and license informational materials may also be obtained from any MDA regional office.
